Abstract :

Technology and nanoscience have a remarkable impact on environmental problems. Researchers are moving away from the harmful chemical approach and toward biodegradable, straightforward, maintainable, and affordable green chemical approaches for material synthesis. This article provides a secure approach for producing iron oxide using aloe vera gel extract. The prepared iron oxide is subjected to XRD, SEM, EDAX, FTIR and UV- Visible and studies. Galvanostatic charge-discharge, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, cycle stability, and cyclic voltammetry were used to demonstrate the supercapacitance. A 312.17 F/g specific capacitance was attained. The energy density measured was 99.89 Wh/kg. The cyclic stability of 82.76% is obtained for 5000 continuous charge-discharge cycles. This report also highlight the green synthesis route using Aloe vera gel as a renewable, natural reducing agent, reducing hazardous reagents and waste.
