In this work, pure PVC films and PVC-PVDF-HFP mix films were made utilizing the solution casting process with variable wt% of PVC to PVDF-HFP. FTIR, XRD, and DSC techniques were used to evaluate the structural, morphological, and miscibility properties of the films. FTIR and XRD data verified molecular interactions between the two polymers, highlighting the occurrence of the α-phase of PVDF-HFP in the blends. The research also showed that when the PVDF-HFP content increased, so the crystallinity in the samples. Furthermore, both experimental and theoretical DSC data showed a decrease in the glass transition temperature (Tg) as the PVDF-HFP content in the mix rose.
