We will investigate how to generalize the saddle-point approximation of integrals. The ordinary saddle-point method, often called Laplace’s method, can be applied when the integrand is sufficiently sharply peaked. However, when the integrand is not that sharply peaked, a generalization of this concept must be done. This paper analyzes such a concept.
