The inhibitor efficiency of Formazan derivative of p-dimethyl amino benzaldehyde (FD)
and Formazan of benzaldehyde (FB) on the corrosion of mild steel in acidic medium of 1M
H2SO4 has been investigated using weight loss measurements and FT-IR spectroscopic techniques.
From this analysis it showed that FD and FB acts as a good inhibitor in prevention of mild steel in 1M
H2SO4 acid medium solution at room temperature in two hours. When comparing the efficiency, the
inhibitor FD shows high efficiency than FB inhibitor. Further the inhibition efficiency also been confirmed
by surface morphological studies.
